EiffelStudio 5.7 Pre-releases
We provide versions of EiffelStudio for most popular platforms (Linux, Windows, Solaris, Irix, ...). You can find the latest builds in our download area.
Warning: Please be aware that the 5.7 versions released through this site are intermediate builds on the road towards official EiffelStudio 5.7. The graphical interface of EiffelStudio is not ready for production and has many unfinished features and even regressions when compared to version 5.6. The command line compiler is at production level. If you are experiencing problems with this release, please use the es-devel mailing list for discussions.
The convention used for filenames is the following:
Eiffel57_$BUILD-$ISE_PLATFORM.[tgz|msi]
Where $BUILD is a build number, the higher number the more recent release it is, and where $ISE_PLATFORM is the name of your platform.
To access older builds, go directly to old releases.
Experimental builds can be found in the experimental build folder.
Mac OS X builds can be found here.
EiffelStudio 5.6
You can download the official EiffelStudio 5.6 release from Eiffel Software.
Doc Builder
You can download the documentation generation tool for Windows 32-bit with .NET 1.1 installed by extracting the content of doc_builder.zip onto your hard-drive. Once installed, you can launch the tool by launching the doc_builder.exe executable.
GOBO
An experimental version of GOBO is needed if you want to compile project with geant and gexace, using EiffelStudio57 (based on the new EIFGENs directory structure). Remark: this is not needed for the pre-release, but only for versions of EiffelStudio built directly from the sources.
